Dating back to 1954, Playland Arcade at the Santa Monica Pier was opened by two brothers, George, and Eugene Gordon. Their father, Morris “Pops” Gordon, was a long-time friend of the family who originally began the development of this popular tourist destination.

At Playland Arcade, the safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. We follow strict protocols for game maintenance and sanitation, and all staff members are trained in emergency procedures.
